Tirana, Monument to 100 years of Albanian Independence. While the monument symbolizes Albania’s century of independence, it has been degraded to a monument with a very short life expectancy. Two years after inauguration, this massive structure, and financial undertaking, seems unlikely to last even another two years. The monument was inaugurated in November, 2012, and was made at a cost of 355,000 euros (other reports stating 450,000 euros), measuring 6.5 meters high, 5.5 meters wide and weighing 15 tons, by artists Visar Obrija and Kai Kiklas in Austria.

These panels were reportedly stolen and sold for 2000 lek as scrap.
